Creating art with the hope that the pieces will resonate with hearts. I begin each piece with a concept and know it's finished when i learn something about myself. Art loves bringing things to the surface.

Speaking to the fact that i believe so many of us are holding back. so many of us have portions of ourselves we don't even let our own minds acknowledge much less other humans.

G27

Named after the garage it was created in, this piece holds it's meaning at face value - "your phone is killing you"

I realized there were parts that were bleeding and their only hope of remaining intact was to attach themselves to a rigid exterior

VOICES – 2023 – JOINT COMPOUND / STUCCO PATCH / HOUSE PAINT
4′ 7″ X 11′ 2″ X 4″

Like an agate split in half. A hard exterior with something completely unexpected held inside. This piece told me how I was presenting myself to other people. I held relationships at a distance, hoping that this callused shell would scare people away.

I wasn’t afraid of relationship, in fact I yearned for it. I desired the closeness that I believe every human wants. However, I thought what was on the inside, the thoughts, dreams and emotions, were only safe if they were tied to this “structurally sound” caricature of a rock I called a “personality”.
